AGALIA
A UI/UX project to enhance the healthcare web portal and it's user experience.
THE DESIGN OPPORTUNITY
Facilities and Admins should have one platform for all the staffing and HR needs. They can hire credentialed and verified nurses with the click of button.
Also, the designs for the same were already into the development phase and the client was not satisfied with the designs proposed by the team.
As the lead product designer, I was working directly under the project manager to define the wireframes and revisit the flow of this healthcare web portal. I analyzed the Information Architecture, information flow of this portal firstly and then moved on to discuss the gaps with team. Following the process, I redesigned some of the modules for better UI and UX as well as created new screens for the same.
HIGH LEVEL TIMELINE
3 months to work on redesigning 5 modules and creating new screens for 2 modules across app and web.
MAKE OF THE TEAM
I was leading the project with 2 fellow designers.
KEY GOAL
To enhance the UI/UX of the existing modules and handoff the designs to dev team in the defined timeframe.
MY ROLE
As the lead Product designer, I was working directly under the Project Manager to define the wireframes and revisit the flow of this healthcare web portal.
I was leading this project along with 2 of my fellow designers. My day used to start with the meeting with Project Manager and afterwards, I used to brainstorm on the requirement and research as well. Then, I was connecting with my design team to brief them on the requirement and the ideas that I had. Eventually, we were starting off with the designs, wireframes and at the end of the day, I used to prepare the designs for Client Presentation. We had bi-weekly Client Call to demonstrate the designs and get feedback on the same.

THE PROCESS FOLLOWED
I started with the research on US facilities, their functioning, types of nurses they hire and interviewed users as well. I, thereafter, scheduled a client call to discuss my findings and understanding of the requirement and asked for resources for the same. Later on, we conducted user testings to come up with apt solutions.
The client provided me with the US facility management document and the various categories of nurses that they hire. Also, I researched on the US facility shift timings, their break timings, different credentials that the nurses require to submit in order to get hired in facilities and we scheduled user interviews too. As soon as we started with screen UI, we conducted user testings as well.
In a nutshell, I tapped and touched every aspect of a facility, it's working model, nature of staffs, their hiring process and user pain points in order to propose efficient design solutions.

Redesigned "Nurses Credentials" Screen with editing capabilities
We created the flow for Agalia web portal where the working nurses can upload their credential details along with the editing capabilities.
Shifts Dashboard view
We created the calendar for facility admins, managers to have the overview of shifts on the dashboard itself along with the employee details assigned for the respective shifts. It shows the status of upcoming and ongoing shifts as per the date, shift type, time selected from the filters.

Message Center
We designed the message module for the employees and admin/manager of facility. In the message centre, they can chat with the admins regarding their credential verifications and the query regarding their assigned shifts.

LESSONS LEARNED
The easiest approach to decode a complex design is to understand the problem statement thoroughly.
While working on this project, I understood the approach to get a hang of any complex design. The more you will deep dive the problem, the easier the design becomes.
I spent most of my time going through my research findings and user testing results, their pain points. As a result, I was able to complete the project requirement before the deadline along with the approval by client.
