LEADIQ
A UI/UX project to enhance the Sales Prospecting process and it's user experience.
THE DESIGN OPPORTUNITY
One of the LeadIQ products- "Prospector" required UI and UX enhancement to offer better and engaging user experience. The existing design was not contributing great into sales and there was the increasing user issues, difficulties while interacting with the product.
Prospector is a product of LeadIQ that has been launched and into it's enhancement/feature addition phase. The design opportunity in this project was to understand the product, it's behaviour profoundly and then work on to different issues/feedbacks provided by the users on interacting with the product. There were some insights on user behaviour and product features provided by the PM to help us create effective solutions.
HIGH LEVEL TIMELINE
6 months to work on redesigning 8 modules across app and web.
MAKE OF THE TEAM
I was working on this project with a Senior designer.
KEY GOAL
To enhance the UI/UX of the existing modules and handoff the designs to dev team in the defined timeframe.
MY ROLE
I was working under the Product Manager of "Prospector" (a product of LeadIQ) and understood the design requirement in product enhancement. I worked to improve Prospector in terms of interface as well as it’s user experience by working closely with the Engineering team.
In visual design, I followed the design system created by the
Sr. Product designer and applied it across all the screens.
I was working as a UX designer in this project, a Senior designer was there to help me whenever required. My day used to start with the meeting with Project Manager and afterwards, I used to brainstorm on the requirement and research as well. Then, I was connecting with the Sr. designer to brief her on the requirement and the ideas that I had. Eventually, I mainly, was working on the designs, wireframes and at the end of the day, I used to prepare the designs for discussion with PM and Engineering team. We had daily syncup with engg. team to demonstrate the designs and get feedback on it's implementation as well.

THE PROCESS FOLLOWED
I started with the analysis of the existing product and it's behaviour. Then I moved on with the competitor analysis to check on the possible product enhancements. After that, I brainstormed on the requirement, following with the discussion with engineering team and PM. Started on the wireframes and designs to get feedback from the design team and modified the designs accordingly.
The PM provided me with the user pain points and problem statements. In most of the cases, we were scheduling call with the users to understand it better. Once getting clarity with the requirement, I was starting on my research and analysis following with the design explorations. I used to get it discussed with the engineering team and PM in the initial phase of design only so that there are the lesser rounds of re-work on designs

OLD Vs New: Making “Remove” button more functional and accessible
We essentially improved the UX of the existing product by making “Remove” button meaningful to the users. We redefined the functionality of “Remove” by getting it absorbed into the existing “Capture” button and giving the users an ease of access in performing the primary action on the page, i.e., to capture the desired number of prospects.
Added the Feature of “Status Mapping” and designed “Status Tags”
We added a new tab named “Status Mapping” to help the SDR’s and Managers with quick prospecting as the tags showing their respective status. This feature was designed for web portal as well as the list view.

Enhancement in UI
We redesigned the older interface to make it decluttered and restructured the information and made micro level changes which made a macro level change in the new interface. We focused on the products making their details more easier to understand.

TITLE OF THE CALLOUT BLOCK
LESSONS LEARNED
The collaboration with team and various stakeholders at different stages of design is crucial to decrease your amount of re-work and increase your time spent on actually thinking about creative solutions in right direction
While working on this project, I understood the significance of team collaboration and team effort.
Taking inputs in different stages of design makes your approach more correct towards proposing solutions. You are less involved in re-work and more contributing into the problem solving.
